DCP – A Scalable Platform for Open Line Systems
What Is DCP?
DCP, which stands for Dynamic Connectivity Platform, is designed to build open optical point-to-point or advanced ROADM-based ring and mesh networks (1-400 Gbps).DCP integrates built-in boards such as Mux/Demux, EDFA, DCM, and more, and is characterized by autoconfiguration, high-capacity, and rapid deployment. With DCP, you can simplify network operations and improve performance during network construction. The DCP supports IP-over-DWDM to meet the optical networking needs of enterprises and carriers, and is ideal for DCI, metro access, and metro/regional networks.
FS DCP Series
FS DCP series products, including DCP920-D04PA/DCP920-D04PB, DCP920-D08PA/DCP920-D08PB and DCP910-D40M , are integrated wavelength division transmission platforms designed for point-to-point transmission scenarios of up to 80KM without the need for repeaters. These products utilize PAM4 DWDM transmission technology and have built-in TDCM and DCM for automatic line-side dispersion adjustment. The TDCM and DCM are able to compensate for the distortion caused by transmission delay and dispersion effects in optical transmission, respectively, according to the characteristics of optical fiber dispersion. This effectively improves the performance and reliability of the fiber optic transmission system and ensures normal transmission and reception of signals. Additionally, they feature out-of-band OSC interfaces for easy management of multiple devices and capacity expansion through stacking.
Compared with Traditional Solutions, What Is Special about DCP?
All-in-One Platform for Efficient Deployment
The DCP platform combines Mux/Demux, DCM, EDFA, and other components into one device. This eliminates the need to worry about collocation, debugging, and complex fiber connections when building a network solution. With DCP, deployment becomes seamless, quick, and hassle-free.
Simplified Operations with Automated Configuration Features
The DCP system is equipped with an automatic adjustment feature that allows it to adapt to optical power and dispersion without any manual configuration or debugging. This eliminates the need to individually set and adjust dispersion values, gain, or power like in traditional solution configurations. This greatly simplifies the configuration process, reducing the level of difficulty involved. Furthermore, LED indicator lights provide visual confirmation when the channel and line are set correctly. This means that even non-technical professionals can easily install and establish new connections within a few minutes.
Fewer Costs, Less Space, and Less Fiber
The DCP platform integrates various components such as mux/demux, DCM, EDFA, and others. This eliminates the need to purchase separate products and eliminates the need for additional optical fibers to connect them. In this way, at least 30% of the overall cost can be saved. Furthermore, DCP's compact design occupies less space compared to traditional independent units, enabling space savings of at least 70%.
