Expand to Introduce SDI/HDMI/VGA/DVI Video Extenders

Introduction

Video Extender is a kind of hardware devices that allow users to convert video in one signal format into another. For example, the Video Extender built by FS.com provide simple plug-and-play operation, and include SDI Extenders, HDMI Extenders, VGA Extenders and DVI Extenders. This series of devices enables users to link previous technology formats with the newest updates without requiring a complete overhaul of their audio/video system. S-Video, Composite, Components, Coaxial and RGB Video Extenders. Wide screen video formats are supported, as well. These devices can be used when users convert a video signal from some devices such as camera, notebook computer to a television. Next we will explain these video Extenders over fibers in detail.

SDI Extenders

SDI Extender transfers multirate HD-SDI digital video signals between two HD-SDI devices by a fiber cable. Single or multimode cable can be used to extend the signal over a distance of 10 km. In the Fiber optic Extender, the sender receives the SDI input signal from the HD-SDI device, and then fiber converts it into an optical signal, and transmits it over an optical fiber. The receiver at the other end obtains the data, converts the optical signal back to the SDI format, and transfers it to the other HD-SDI device.

Our standard Fiber Optic to video transmitter/Audio/data transceiver and video receiver/Audio/data transceiver series utilizes uncompressed digital encoding and decoding for high-quality video transmission. Our Fiber Optic to Video Extenders come in 1 channel, 2 channel, 4 channel, 8 channel, 16 channel, 32 channel and SDI. The SDI Fiber Optic to Video Extender comes in HD, High Definition, 1080I, 1080P, and 3G.These environmentally hardened units provide transmission of 1 channel, 2 channel, 4 channel, 8 channel,16 channel, and 32 channels of independent video. Our Fiber Optic to Video Extenders also offer, 1 audio channel and 1 bi-directional data channel over one single-mode or multimode optical fiber and are ideal for use in unconditioned roadside or out-of-plant installations. The product is widely used in the field of CCTV, video surveillance, and national defense.

HDMI Extenders

HDMI Extender devices include a transmitter and a receiver, which is a high-speed, HDCP compliant fiber optic transport system capable of distributing high resolution HDMI signals over fiber cable while maintaining flawless image quality. The HDMI input signal from a source device such as a set-top box or Blu-Ray player is converted into light pulses by an optical transmitter module for transmission over two strands of fiber optic cables. On the display side, an optical receiver module converts the light pulses back to an HDMI signal for display on a monitor or projector. The HDMI to Fiber Extender supports optical links using either multimode or single-mode fiber. These features make the equipment a powerful solution for digital display applications that require flawless signal quality over extremely long cable runs.

All TVs and most computer monitors have HDMI. It's easy to use and the cables are cheap, and best of all, it carries audio. If you're plugging your computer into a TV, HDMI should be your first choice. It will save you lots of hassle.

VGA Extenders

FS.com's VGA Extenders, in the multimedia application system, often need to perform remote transmission of VGA digital video signal, the audio and video signals. But when using the common cable to transmit, the output signal is poor and vulnerable to interference, and image display will appear fuzzy, trailing as well as color separation. At the same time, for short transmission distance, using a plurality of cable to transmit these signals can not meet the requirements of multimedia information publishing and HD video camera. For long distance transmission, the use of VGA Extender transmission completely solve such problems with 1 core single-mode optical fiber transmission distance up to 1 meters -20 km. Meanwhile, optical transmission has the advantages of less attenuation, wide frequency band, strong anti-interference ability, high safety performance, small volume, and light weight, so it has incomparable advantages in long distance transmission and special environment.

VGA Extenders are especially suitable for high definition video signal train platform in the application of military exercises, HD video camera, and all kinds of long distance transmission systems.

DVI Extenders

FS.com's DVI Extenders adopt the most advanced international technology of digital video and optical fiber transmission, performing synchronous, undistorted,  uncompressed and high quality signal transmission. The computer host, high definition video signal, etc, exporting the long distance of various resolution ratio of 1 channel DVI signal, solve the problem of only for short distance transmission. You can convert some of these cables into others.

DVI Extenders include a transmitter and a receiver, which can transmit DVI Video, Audio, USB, MIC and RS232 signals of PC to a remote location over single network cable, and it also provides a DVI output interface on local unit. The device supports HD video transmission at 1920×1200 resolution, and the extension distance per single pair is 120 meters. It also supports TCP/IP protocol and can reach 200 meters after connecting network switch, and multiple cascade operation is available. This product can be widely used in video conference system, multimedia display system, medical display system, and commercial presentation system, etc.

Summary

With quick resolution detection and slim cabling, the Video Extenders from FS.com are the best on the market and are offered at highly competitive prices. Save serious money by installing a simple and easy to use Extender instead of buying an array of expensive new A/V gear to connect devices. No matter what the video format conversion requirement is, FS.com has affordable and effective solutions. In the future, FS.com will have more development and research in fiber Extender and will develop more new products.
