FS Uses Keysight RoCEv2 Test Solution to Validate Performance of Switches in Data Center Fabrics

June 2024 — FS, a global provider of ICT network products and solutions for HPC, data centers, enterprises, and telecom networks, has worked with Keysight Technologies, a market-leading design, emulation, and test solutions company, to validate the high performance and reliability of FS data center switches in hyper-scale and enterprise data centers using the Keysight RoCEv2 test solution.

High network bandwidth, low latency, and robust computing power have become imperative in modern data centers. With the burgeoning demand for data-intensive applications, the significance of RoCEv2 (RDMA over Converged Ethernet version 2) technology in data center infrastructures cannot be overstated. RoCEv2 allows more applications like high-performance computing, storage, and artificial intelligence-based applications to converge over ubiquitous Ethernet networks. FS Switches Pass Rigorous RoCEv2 Validation

The Keysight RoCEv2 test solution provided FS with a valuable way to validate the RoCEv2 performance of its data center switches. The market-leading RoCEv2 benchmarking test solution was introduced in February 2024 and includes a high-density cost-effective test hardware platform (AresONE-S 400GE), the IxNetwork test application, and the RoCEv2 license.

Testing was conducted by running a typical one-hop many-to-one RoCE performance test on FS data center switches with specific switch configurations. RoCEv2 endpoints were emulated by using high-density AresONE traffic load appliances. The test report showed that FS data center switches can maintain high RDMA bandwidth and low latency even on congested RoCE networks, aligning with high industry standards.
