June 17th, FS News - FS recently announces the addition of the 48-port multi-gigabit Ethernet layer 3 managed switch S5800-48MBQ to a multi-gigabit switching solution. Featuring 48× 100M/1000M/2.5G BASE-T Ethernet ports along with 4× 25Gb SFP28 and 2× 40Gb QSFP+ uplinks, the new multi-gigabit switch is the ideal choice for the latest and next-generation enterprise access layer devices, metro networks, and HCI networks.

Multi-gigabit technology has become a popular way to high-speed gigabit connection with the increasing need for higher speed over the current cabling system and the prevail of greater WiFi throughput. Since last year, FS has introduced multi-gigabit S5860-24XB-U switches to cater to the needs for switches with 24× 2.5G/5G/10G Ethernet speeds. The new layer 3 S5800-48MBQ switch with 48× 2.5GBASE-T ports FS brings today offers another option for customers in need of high-speed connections.

  • Featuring auto-negotiation three speeds (100M/1000M/2.5G), the S5800-48MBQ switch can automatically detect the speed needed by the attached device and therefore offer the optimized performance for diverse applications.

  • 48× 2.5G ports enable higher gigabit speeds over the existing cabling system for devices such as 2.5G NAS, server, gaming computer, WiFi 6 AP, etc.

  • The switch is capable of future network expansion since it supports IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack technology, enabling a cost-efficient upgrading.

  • 3+1 smart fans and 1+1 dual power redundancy design satisfy the needs for lower power consumption and reliability.

The new multi-gigabit Ethernet S5800-48MBQ switch has now been available at FS.com. For more information, check out the S5800-48MBQ product page.
