FS FHD® Series Introduces Four New High-Density MTP Fiber Cassettes

April 21st, FS News - FS has launched four new FHD® fiber optic cassettes, 3 x MTP®-8 to LC fiber cassettes (OS2 single-mode and OM4 multimode), and 8 x MTP®-8 mesh cassettes (OS2 single-mode and OM4 multimode) included, to provide flexible and easy-to-use solutions for high-density spine-leaf fiber connectivity in data centers, enterprises, and telecommunication applications.

As always, these four new FHD® family products adopt modular designs and can be freely combined in the FHD® fiber enclosure. In addition, they bring more benefits below:

Higher Density for Spine-Leaf Architecture

FHD® 8 x MTP®-8 mesh cassette features eight 8-fiber MTP® ports in both front and rear, and 4 cassettes can route up to 256 fiber connections in a 1U rack. It's ideal for spine-leaf wiring applications since the MTP® mesh cassette can reduce congestion at the MDA without breaking connections. FHD® 3 x MTP®-8 to LC fiber cassettes can allow up to 96 LC fibers in 1U space, suitable for conventional 3-tier cabling schemes and spine-leaf cabling schemes.

Improve the Front Adapter Design for Better Use

FHD® 3 x MTP®-8 to LC cassette adopts a horizontal arrangement for the front LC adapters that correspond to the line sequence of the rear MTP adapters. This design better conforms to customer behavior.

Universal Polarity Simplifies Cabling Complex

All the FHD® MTP® fiber optic cassettes are equipped with universal polarity used at both ends of a Method B trunk to reduce the complexity of a fiber network, ensuring consistent polarity, and streamlining network maintenance.
