With the deployment of 40G and 100G systems in data centers, reliable and efficient fiber installations are critical to high-performance networks. Properly maintained and cleaned fiber optic cables will help reduce contaminants from optical interfaces and avoid interference with data transmission. FS One-Push Cleaner with compact construction are designed for fiber optic cables, adapters, and transceivers. Even if the optical interfaces are installed in racks, boxes and other subrack terminals, you can also clean easily. How to use the One-Push Cleaner? Let's take a look at this article now.

FS One-Push Cleaner Overview

The One-Push Cleaner is used to clean connectors in patch cords and adapters. By inserting the fiber cleaner into the connector and using mechanical pushing action to advance the optical grade cleaning tape while the cleaning tip is rotated to ensure the fiber end-face is effectively, but gently cleaned. Depending on the type of fiber optic connector, FS has three types of fiber cleaners, 1.25mm fiber optic cleaner for LC/MU type fiber, 2.5mm fiber optic cleaner for SC/ST/FC type fiber, and MPO/MTP push cleaner for MPO/MTP type fibers. FS one-push cleaner works with two brands: NEOCLEAN®-M and US Conec IBC™. The following are specific descriptions and user guides for the two brands of cleaners for different connectors.

FS LC/MU and SC/ST/FC One-Push Cleaners User Guide

NEOCLEAN®-E LC/MU 1.25mm and SC/FC/ST/LSH 2.5mm One-Push Cleaner

1.25mm one-push cleaner is an easy-to-use option for cleaning MU and LC connectors in adapters and exposed 1.25mm ferrules. Each In-Adapter Cleaner delivers up to 750 cleanings to remove a variety of contaminates including dusts and oils. 2.5mm one-push cleaner can clean SC, ST, FC and LSH connectors in adapters and expose 2.5mm ferrules.

US Conec IBC™ Brand Cleaner LC²

The US Conec IBC™ Brand Cleaner LC² is specially designed for LC duplex 1.25mm connectors for UPC and APC polishes, with half the cleaning time of simplex cleaning tools. The tool also performs well to clean duplex connectors residing in an adapter, faceplate or bulkhead. The dust cap of the cleaner acts as an adapter for cleaning unmated connectors.

Below is a video guide for using the LC/MU and SC/FC/ST/LSH Optical One-Push Pen Cleaner.

NOTE:

Do not tilt, angle, or slant the cleaner while inserting the tip into the adapter. Do not use excessive force during insertion as this may damage the connector and/or cleaner. If resistance is experienced while pushing the cleaner body toward the adapter, remove the cleaner tip from the adapter and inspect for contamination on the tip and in the adapter.

FS MPO/MTP One-Push Cleaner User Guide

NEOCLEAN®-M MTP/MPO-8/12/24 and MTP/MPO-16 One-Push Cleaner

NEOCLEAN®-M MPO/MPT one-push cleaner is designed to clean MPO and MTP multi-fiber connectors used in data centers and other high density optical networks, which simplifies cleaning of the ferrule end-face of both MPO/MTP exposed connectors and connectors in adapters. As with all FS one-push cleaner, the MPO/MPT one-push cleaner, with over 600 clean times and features an innovative "push" cleaning design that saves time by efficiently cleaning the MTP/MPO-8/12/24 or MTP/MPO-16 fibers. The mechanical push action advances the optical grade cleaning tape while effectively and gently cleaning the end-face of the connector.

US Conec IBC™ MPO II and MTP®-16 One-Push Cleaner

The newly improved US Conec IBC™ Brand MPO II and MTP-16 One-push cleaners are designed for cleaning fiber optic arrays of MPO/MTP-based connector system over 500 clean times. The tool are capable of cleaning MPO-based connector systems mounted in bulkhead adapters, on card edges, backplanes, and unconnected cable assemblies. They perform well on both female (without pin guide) and male (with steel pin guide) connectors and can clean both flat (UPC) and 8˚ angle (APC) MT ferrules. The tools also effectively clean connectors mounted in bulkhead adapters and unconnected cable assemblies using calibration caps.
